Review: How to Earn $200,000 a Year Tuning Pianos
By John Granholm, Managing Editor and RPT

Barry Bradshaw is no stranger to piano technology. In addition to running his own business over the course of his 50-year career, this third-generation piano technician put in ten years of university work, was the chief technician for a Steinway & Sons dealership, and served more than a dozen years supervising quality control at Baldwin’s grand piano factory in Conway, Arkansas. He has distilled his extensive professional experience into his book, How to Earn $200,000 a Year Tuning Pianos.

Mr. Bradshaw includes several suggestions for customer handouts, checklists for technicians, and even a facsimile of his tax return to support his points. He also generously invites readers to consult him for advice.

This book, available in printed or electronic editions, contains a great deal of useful information and guidance, especially for younger technicians.

I wish I’d had it when I was starting out.
